Spring Training 2016 – 3/29/16

There really is nothing like March in Ft Myers, Florida.  My yearly trek to Spring Training is always one of the highlights of the year for Sox Signatures, and this year did not disappoint.

Day 1  One of my favorite parts of htting the minor league fields is when the major league guys come over to get some extra at bats or innings in.  Today Junichi Tazawa decided to throw some extra inning and some guy named David Ortiz decided to take some extra at bats.  Obviously Papi being there drew a pretty big crowd, not just of fans but almost all the players wanted to see the big guy up close as well.  Unfortunately  I was not able to get Ortiz, but I did get Tazawa on a 2013 World Series 8×10, as well as Continue reading

Spring Training 2015 – 3/19/15

It’s always nice to escape the snow and cold every March and head down to sunny Fort Myers to catch some Red Sox Spring Training action.  Even though my flight out of Logan was delayed 4 hours, and I didn’t get into Fort Myers until about 4am (never fly Spirit!) the week was still an amazing experience.

Day 1 I got to the park and started hammering away at getting the 300+ 8×10’s I brought with me, and was even able to score Dwight Evans on a Fenway 100th baseball for a project I’m working on.  Dwight was great with fans all week and stopped to sign almost every day.  I brought a Craig Breslow game used PawSox jersey Continue reading

Red Sox 2015 Winter Weekend (1/23-1/25)

Sox Signatures hit the road to head down to Foxwoods Resort Casino for the First Ever Red Sox Winter Weekend Fan Fest.  I missed the Town Hall on Friday night, but after registering I decided to walk around the casino and see if any players were wandering around.  After seeing Bill Lee signing for a few fans, I took a quick picture with the Spaceman.  Then walking along the hallway between 2 of the casino’s I spied Garin Cecchini and Mookie Betts walking by and was also able to grab a quick selfie with them as well.  The highlight of the night was seeing Manager John Farrell Continue reading
